Thirty years ago, Xeno invaders descended upon the Earth and waged a war of extermination. Billions died at the hands of the Xeno war machines, as all governments, militaries, and even the biosphere of the earth fell victim to the alien’s advanced technology. Only through the scientific brilliance of Voidgaurd Pharmaceuticals was humanity able to develop and deploy biological weapons to destroy their invaders. After the war, Xeno technology lies dormant on both Earth and Mars, but not undisturbed. Voidgaurd would do anything to discover what secrets Xeno left behind. 

When Raymond Hobbes signs up for a top secret Voidgaurd program to decode Xeno technology, he is just trying to help his family make rent. His grandmother is aging, and his father suffers from severe PTSD as a result of fighting in the war. Keeping them safe is worth being a lab rat for Voidgaurd scientists. How bad could it be? 

QSX is the last from their tank. All the rest of their kind have been pulled screaming from the safety of their home to infest human hosts, and give Voidgaurd the key to understanding Xeno technology. None have survived. When QSX is chosen and suspended over the writhing body of Raymond Hobbes, QSX burrows into the only safe place available. Hobbes’s skull. 

Now the two of them are bound together body and mind, and must overcome the traumatic nature of their joining to decode the Xeno technology left behind after the war. Under pressure from Voidgaurd agents and Xeno defense systems, QSX and Hobbes have to use their unnatural connection to understand the insidious nature of Xeno technology, and why Voidgaurd would do anything to bend the technology to its will.
